Women the American Revolution Tried to Forget.
Join IWF Suncoast and three of the most renowned female historians as we reveal the remarkable women, Patriot and Loyalist alike, whose leadership and courage helped shape the birth of the U.S.
American Turns 250! We're marking the nation's semiquincentennial by spotlighting the women who shaped its birth--yet were written out of its story.
Why You Absolutely Want to Be in This Room & What You'll Gain from the Conversation
For one hour, IWF members will have an unprecedented opportunity to step behind the familiar story of the American Revolution and explore the untold stories of women who moved intelligence, financed resistance, influenced political leaders, and quietly altered the course of history.
- See the Revolution differently; through the networks of women who shaped it and how they built hidden networks of influence during the Revolution.
- Understand the real risks women took on both sides of the conflict. Many of these women operated in plain sight. Others lived double lives where their discovery could have meant ruin, or worse.
- Reframe leadership, strategy, and resilience through the lens of women who practiced it long before they were recognized for it. Engage directly with three powerhouse historians redefining how America understands its own origins.
This is the kind of conversation that changes how you think about leadership, and who gets remembered.
The stories of these brave women are still often clouded in secret. Until now!
Join fellow IWF members for a conversation that promises insight, discovery, and a fresh look at the founding of a nation.
This will be a moderate discussion with guest speakers:
